About the Break
Enjoy a weekend walking in the hills, learning the skills necessary to navigate and look after yourself in the British mountains.
During this two day course your instructor will take you through all the essential skills to enable you to enjoy the hills safely, whatever the weather.
From map symbols and grid references to taking bearings and interpreting contour lines, we cover all the essential navigation skills so that you can explore the hills and mountains with confidence. Other hill skills covered include route planning and emergency procedure, mountain weather and choice and use of equipment.
