About the Break
Enjoy a weekend walking in the hills, learning how to use a map and compass properly. This two day course is an introduction to navigation skills. Our instructors will take you through all the skills you need to go walking in the countryside, whatever the weather and the visibility.
From map symbols and grid references to taking bearings, measuring distance and contour lines, we will cover all the essentials so that you can explore the hills and mountains with confidence.
This is a practical course where we will be out in the hills all day, so come prepared to go outdoors.
You can choose our great value inclusive package, which includes a two night stay in comfortable Guest House accommodation, with packed lunches on both days. Alternatively, choose the non residential, ‘course only’ option.
